Kai in CNBC: Connecting Property Work with AI

As rising labor and material costs put pressure on renovation budgets, artificial intelligence is helping professionals rethink how property work gets done. In a recent CNBC feature, Kai CEO and co-founder Or Agassi shared how his experience renovating and flipping more than 3,000 homes inspired a platform built to connect an industry still heavily reliant on spreadsheets, clipboards, and manual processes. Kai turns a smartphone walkthrough video into an actionable scope of work, including measurements, quantities, labor, pricing, and recommended products—helping teams move from assessing a property to planning the work faster.

Through our partnership with The Home Depot, renovation professionals can connect that scope directly to the materials they need and order through Kai. As the platform learns from teams’ previous projects and workflows, it helps identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control costs, and make more informed decisions. With $21 million in total funding, a presence in 35 U.S. metropolitan markets, and $750 million in annual material purchasing volume flowing through the platform, Kai is building a more connected, intelligent way to manage property work—from first walk to final sign-off.
